Dippy Doodahs
We continued having monthly classes creating needlefelt pieces for decorations. The ladies continued to create and either keep or give away their makes. One lady keeps all her makes in her enclosed porch. Visitors always enjoy seeing them and they make a good conversation starter. To celebrate The late Queen Elizabeth jubilee we made corgis. These were a great success and amused everyone. Towards the end of the year, we began doing small wet felting projects, including a poppy corsage for Remembrance Day. One lady made hers in purple to acknowledge the animals that took part in war, particularly more recently as sniffer and rescue dogs in different countries.
Workers Education Agency
Throughout the year I taught online via zoom to lovely and enthusiastic groups of needle felt makers. We got together for one day workshops as well as 6- or 7-week courses. The year ending making Christmas Decorations. Some of the makers gave their makes away as gifts, one hosted around the kitchen table a Christmas felt making party. One reason why these classes are successful is that we have students from other areas within the UK and they bring with them their local knowledge of shopping for materials and interests. Everyone is keen to support and encourage each other as well as exchange ideas.
